What is an escape room?

Part game, part theatre, part reality, Escape Rooms offer a team building activity like no other. Clues and puzzles will lead you to physical keys, combinations or further mysteries to solve.

Each room has it's own story line and the reason you're there will vary. Be prepared to experience a roller coaster of emotions as frustration, elation and excitement propel you through the experience, will you complete the room in time? Will your team work together? Or will you crumble under the pressure?

With a set objective and a time limit our fiendish games will need all your combined skills, intuition and courage! Play as a team of 2-6 people, choose a theme, grab your team and Get Out!

All our rooms are lovingly created by our passionate, crazy team and we are committed to providing you with an immersive, engaging experience.

World Fair Hotel

It’s Chicago, 1893 and you’ve mysteriously received tickets to stay at the infamous Dr H. H. Holmes’ World Fair Hotel. There’s just one problem, he’s America’s first serial killer.

Based on a true story in 1890’s Chicago your stay at the charmingly nicknamed ‘Murder Hotel’ isn’t all it seems.

Who booked you in to the World Fair Hotel? Why do people who check in rarely check out? And more importantly, who is H.H. Holmes and what is he hiding?

Please be advised, this room is creepy with some scares but will not be horror room. It will be suitable for children over 8, accompanied by an adult.

The Abandoned Cottage

In the middle of the woods

In the midst of all the trees

Stands a little wooden house

Untouched by man or breeze

In the middle of the cottage

In the midst of the abandoned house

Nothing moves or mumbles

No creature, sound or mouse

In the middle of the cottage

In the midst of all the dust

Stands a dark and dusty candle

In a dungeon full of rust

For in the middle of the past

In the midst of days gone by

A curse befell three witches

Named Edith, Margery and Lorelei

In the middle of the woods

In the shadow of a tree

Three witches lie in wait

For you to set them free…

Frequently Asked Questions

An Escape Room, (also known as an Exit Game, Live Action Game… etc) began as a re-imagining of the video game industry.  A themed room that requires teamwork to solve a variety of different puzzles, mazes and activities with a set objective to achieve within a set time frame.

Unless the room you’ve booked is clearly marked as a horror room it will not be scary. We promise.

Unless stated otherwise in the room description, all rooms will have adequate lighting.

No. We do not lock our doors, there will always be a clear means of exit, should you need to. However, the timer will continue, even if you choose to leave the room.

Something comfortable and easy to move in. You may need to get down on your hands and knees for some clues.

If you require glasses to read we would recommend bringing these, other than that, everything you need will be in the room!

The parking outside Get Out is strictly for 1 hour only, no return within 2 hours. We advice your visit will last longer than an hour.

So we suggest Albany Place car park  – CT17 9AU.

Based on the street behind Snargate Street. There is an access path via foot down to Snargate street.

This car park is 60p an hour (maximum 5 hours) or £3.60 a day. You can pay by machine or phone.

There is no charge on Sunday.

All our rooms are privately hired. So, no matter how many there are in your group, you will be alone for your allocated slot.

Yes. You can purchase these on our Book Tickets page. If you have any questions about this please give us a call on 01304 892425 or 07921859291.

We respectfully ask you to refrain from taking any photographs or videos. Our rooms rely on immersion and the element of surprise. We will provide a team photo upon completion of your room.

Your booking is for 60 minutes but you will need to allow for a 10-15 minute briefing before hand. Also, we encourage you to stick around for a debriefing and a chat with the team afterwards, we’d love to hear your thoughts!

We advise to arrive a minimum 10-15 minutes prior to your slot, to allow for your immersion briefing. This isn’t as intense as it sounds! It gives your Games Master time to answer any questions, give you some handy tips and pointers and get to know you a little bit so as to ensure you get the most from the experience.

Please try to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your booked session for your briefing and introduction. Your timer begins from your booking time, if you are running late please call us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please be advised this may mean a reduced gaming time.

Not all of our rooms are suitable for under 12’s and all under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. If you’ve got a question or if you’re unsure of suitability, give us a call.

Our opening hours, which are subject to change, will be:

Monday – Thursday 10am till 11pm

Friday 9.30am – 11pm

Saturday 8.30am-11.30pm

Sunday 10am-10.30pm

Please note, our phone line will be open from 8.30am – 11pm everyday.

The Team

Recently married Ross and Kym are the owners of Get Out Escape Rooms Ltd.

From our very first escape room we fell in love with the industry. The frustration, exhilaration and stunning immersion had hooked its next victims! After much time spent grilling the owners of Pressure Point in Ashford (Hi Keri and Mike) and many, many hours spent bickering, bartering and building... Get Out was born!

We are incredibly excited to bring our new Escape Rooms to Dover in Kent.

We can't wait to join the ranks of innovation, investment and rejuvenation of Dover!

Born and bred in Deal, Kym's local knowledge and Ross's Romford charm provide a warm and welcoming environment!

We look forward to bringing you The Abandoned Cottage very soon!

Ross has the largest hands in the entire world. Maybe.

With an uncontrollable need for small talk Ross is probably never going to grow up. He can find a talking point about anything and anyone and is passionate about ensuring you have a fantastic time.

Ross likes food, Morrissey and winding Kym up.

If Ross is the heart of Get Out, then Kym is the brains.

With a keen eye for detail Kym loves getting hands on with anything creative or messy. She can usually be found telling Ross to stop talking and do some work.

Kym likes dinosaurs, being right and blaming Ross when they fail to escape.
